The Concept
For wine enthusiasts and collectors, having a dedicated space to store and showcase their prized bottles is a dream come true. One such dream was brought to life with the creation of a stunning Contemporary Stone Wine Cellar. With its impeccable design, meticulous attention to detail, and thoughtful features, this custom wine cellar stands as a showpiece in our client's home.
The Design
The weathered brick floors, white stone walls, and beautiful wood ceiling in this wine cellar create a visually striking backdrop that highlights the wine collection. The contrasting textures and tones evoke a sense of timeless elegance, ensuring that each bottle takes center stage.
With a bottle capacity of approximately 468, this wine cellar offers ample space to house an extensive collection. The rack configuration is designed with label-forward display, allowing easy identification and organization of the wines. A row of floating wine racks on the back wall adds visual interest to highlight special bottles. A pouring station provides a dedicated area for decanting and serving, enhancing the overall wine-tasting experience. Above the pouring station, a magnum alcove offers a stylish and convenient storage solution for larger bottles and at the bottom of the racks, u-bins are included for wine cases or bulk wine storage.
The choice of finishes played a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of this wine cellar. Here, we utilized wine racks from our Signature Collection with matte black metal posts and bottle rods, natural walnut shelves, and end brackets. The combination of these materials adds a modern touch with warmth and richness in the overall design.

The insulated glass enclosure with black frames and modern ladder style pulls elevates the visual impact of the wine cellar. This design choice not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also ensures optimal performance of the refrigeration system. Dimmable LED lighting strategically placed behind the racking, at the ceiling and floor, as well as in the pouring niche, creates a captivating ambiance and highlights the collection's beauty.
Preserving the quality and integrity of wines is of utmost importance, and a reliable cooling system is essential. The Contemporary Stone Wine Cellar is equipped with a Wine Guardian D050 cooling system which ensures precise temperature and humidity levels.
